The Canmore Crux Gravel Race is back on Sunday, June 7 2026, featuring a New Course, New Format, and Those Same Epic Views

We’re shaking things up! This year, the Crux is evolving into a 4-hour AMLAP (As Many Laps As Possible) showdown.

We’ve designed a brand-new 16 KM loop that blends smooth pavement with crunchy gravel. Don't let the "easier" terrain fool you - while the course is faster, the 4-hour clock is relentless. Whether you’re hunting for a personal best or just here for the mountain air, the challenge is exactly as big as you make it - throw in the towel after your first lap if that is all you have in the tank.

The Best Part? You don’t have to suffer alone. Tackle the clock solo or grab a partner and team up to split the work!

This is your wake-up call, your season opener, and might just be the most stunningly brutal and beautiful day you'll have on two wheels all year.

Race registration opens on February 1, 2026 and closes on June 3, 2026 (or as soon as we sell-out).

We’re dropping the start gun at the legendary Canmore Nordic Centre - the heart of the Rockies and our favorite proving ground. This year, we’re leveling up the fun with a brand-new 16 KM loop that blends fast pavement with scenic gravel. The course is smoother and more approachable than ever, but don’t get too comfortable - the real challenge is the 4-hour clock.

Whether you’re riding Solo or teaming up as a Duo, the goal is simple: hit as many laps as you can (AMLAP). If you’re riding solo and decide you’ve had your fill before the four hours are up, no problem - throw in the towel whenever you’re ready. No judgment, just high-fives at the finish.

No gravel bike? No sweat. We love mountain bikes, "Franken-bikes," and whatever rig makes you feel confident on the climbs and gravel. Bring the bike you trust and a thirst for adventure. Out here, the struggle is our shared language, and everyone is invited to the conversation.
